                     THE POLE IN ARGENTINA
Polo is a sport that originated in what is called Sagol Kangjei being played in India (Manipur) around the year 300 BC. In Persia staked Pulu (meaning willow root) and from more than 500 years before Christ.
His game is the matchup of two teams of four players on horseback, and that is to push a ball with a mallet to the opposite goal. Each player maintains a handicap, with a maximum of ten measured in goals.
The sport spread throughout the East, with special features, and I practiced in Japan, China, India and Tibet, it was called dakyu.
Among the curiosities and historical background of these practices are Chinese paintings on silk, which reproduce the Emperor Tung Hsuang playing polo.
The British military for India (British Colony) learned to play there in the mid-nineteenth century.
Polo is governed by the Regulations issued in 1875 in Britain, the Hurlingham Polo Association in London. Just one year earlier (1974) had made a first party.
One of the most prestigious trophies is the America's Cup between the U.S. and Argentina, which was first held in 1928 and was won by Argentina on most occasions.
One of the elements that are bred, trained and imported from Argentina to Britain and the United States are the polo ponies that stay or rural settlements west of Buenos Aires raised for that purpose.
One of the big teams in the history of Argentine Polo, consisted of four brothers. The team "Indians Chapaleufú" was composed by Horace, Gonzalo, Mark and Bautista Heguy, and totaled 40 points handicap. Belonging to the same family in the path marked Argentine polo.
